Welcome to MekTrix 4.0

Aka Shish’s Place of Stuff

Archive for December, 2005

I am also good at Halo

Team 1: Shish, who has no xbox, and has only played halo campaign mode at a friend’s house (twice 1, half way though 2)

Team 2: 3 friends

End score: 15-Nil to Shish

Although that was seriously whoring the banshee (or ghost? the flying thing)… in regular 4-way deathmatch I only got scores like 22-8-8-5~

I’m a rocker, I rock out.

My friend’s air band (myself included) won the charity week air guitar competition \o/ I blame the his beard, and the chanting cult it attracts~

It also reminded me how lame school competitions are; the first act scored 8/10, most scored 9, and the worst 7. I’d much rather they give the first group 5 no matter how good they are, then rate others as better or worse…

ViewCVS

A nice interface to my source codes

After Debian’s configurator seemingly doing nothing, I tried the manual route; I took the default config, edited one line to point at my repositories, and it worked~

Finally reading more of the Al|together releases~

Several months after Al|together 2005, I’m finally getting round to reading some of them, via VNC over SSH over HTTP \o/ Without sound, which is a big part of the atmosphere /o\

Mentioned here as I know several people who read this and might be interested~ They’re short stories, with pictures & sound. Narcissu being my favourite so far; it’s so depressing, in the happiest way possible ;_;

Joy of Stats

Some numbers, from site access logs:

Date range: 2004/09 to 2005/11

Size: 500MB

Time to parse with awstats: 5.5 hours

Files served: 2,237,523

Pages served to non-bots: 62,759

Front page hits: 4,553

Bandwidth used by visitors: ~35GB

Bandwidth used by bots: ~40GB

ED> And having left the config set to update all files, I note that only 3 hours was log parsing, with 2.5 being HTML output o_O
